Physics, built from source
Release 0.1, September 29, 2026
Every part of the game's simulation lives in one build that we can measure and test, starting with the physics engine itself.
Done when
The physics engine builds from source as part of the project, and a test drops a body and checks that it lands and comes to rest.
Everything later in the game runs on this. We chose to compile the physics engine ourselves instead of using a prebuilt library, so that every part of the simulation is in the same build and can be measured and tested the same way.
