About Trilithon Games
Wreckwing, by Trilithon Games. Powered by Trilithon Engine.
Trilithon Games is a very small independent studio, led by Alex van Rossum. We make games almost entirely with Claude Code, on two engines of our own. Wreckwing, a Mac game about flying a small gunship at street level through cities you can destroy, runs on Trilithon Engine. Phosphor is an indexed-color 2D engine aimed at iPhone and iPad, and One Thousand Ruins is the first game built on it.
How we build
Alex designs the games and the engines, makes the calls and reviews the results. Claude Code, Anthropic’s AI coding agent, does the execution: its sessions write almost all of the code, run the measurements and draft the devlog posts. Nothing ships or gets published until Alex has read it.
Every devlog post is signed by the person who reviewed it. When a Claude Code session drafted it, the byline says so, and a note at the end of the post says which session drafted it, what it did and when it was reviewed.
The names
A trilithon is two standing stones with a lintel across them, the frame of Stonehenge. William Stukeley named it in 1740. Trilithon Engine is about structures that carry load and fall, and the mark draws a trilithon so that the gaps under the lintel and between the stones make a T.
This site
This site is built with Astro, Tailwind CSS, Cloudflare Workers, and, like everything else here, with Claude Code. It is a side project of Alex van Rossum; see mipyip.com.
